The following key conditions I found for your consideration if we desire God to answer our prayers.

Faith: Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Hebrews 11:66And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Obedience :

2 Chronicles 7: 1414and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Proverbs 28:99He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Our Motives:

James 4:33You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Ask God

Matthew 7:7, 8 –  7“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  8“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

James 4:2b – ….  You do not have because you do not ask.

Ask in Faith

James 1: 6 –  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7: For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

In Jesus’ Name:

John 14: 13 – And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Ask in His Will:

1 John 5:14-1514This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Expect Answered Prayers: Yes, believe, ask and expect results. In fact wait for results and prepare for their arrival.

Matthew 21:21-2221And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.  22“And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Be Patient: Be assured that God heard our prayers but we need to wait for His answer according to His will.

Psalm 40:11I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.

Psalm 5:33 In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;  in the morning I lay my requests before you  and wait in expectation.

Persist in Prayer: Jesus himself told the disciples to persist in prayer and not lose heart.

Luke 18:1 1Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Ask for Forgiveness as required: If you have sinned against man or God, ask for forgiveness.

James 5: 16 – Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins andto cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Please take some time to meditate on the conditions of prayer, you could also pop in at the Worship Video section and have a mini- worship session as you meditate.
