So when God answers our prayers, what do we do after that? Well here are some things to consider.

Giving thanks :  Of course we want to give thanks for the answered prayer !

Psalm 118:21 – I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.

Give your testimony: Especially so when God answers a significant prayer that changes your life. For example - God healing you cancer or God giving you a job.

Psalm 105:1 – Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

Psalm 145:4-6 4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. 5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. 6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.

Jesus giving thanks: Even Jesus gave thanks to the Father for listening to Him. You must also read this in context, from verses John 11:38-44.

John 11:4141So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

Remember the answered prayers as they can help grow your faith:

1 Thessalonians 1:3 – We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ:

Psalm 143:5 – I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.

To help us remember the answered prayers, we may want to consider archiving them in a notebook. Over time when we accumulate the answered prayers, we can see the goodness of God in our lives and as we review them, it can only build our faith.

God Bless

Ben
